Customized Special Pads

We manufacture hollow pads for base printing applications. Special applications also include multiple pads mounted on a common base. Additionally, we offer pads designed for printing on bulbs, CFLs, and the inner surfaces of chinaware.

Pad printing is a photogravure process that uses a silicone rubber pad to transfer an image from an etched steel plate (cliché) onto the target product. It is widely used for printing on uneven or irregular surfaces, such as golf balls, due to the flexibility of the silicone pad. The process begins with an image etched onto a cliché plate. Ink is applied to the plate, and the silicone pad picks up the ink by pressing onto the plate and then transfers it onto the product surface, resulting in a clean and precise print.

Special Bases of Pads

We generally use high-density hardwood for our pad bases, but aluminum or steel bases are also available upon request. Better Quality = Harder Pad + More Defined Contour

Selecting the correct print pad can be counterintuitive unless you fully understand the process. While we are happy to guide you through it, there's truly no substitute for decades of experience and our shelves stocked with hundreds of pad shapes ready for testing.

Our pads are manufactured using premium-quality German based silicone. The molds are based on original high-precision masters. The pad backs are made from marine-grade plywood, aluminum, or Delrin—all precision-machined for accuracy. Unlike many low-cost pads on the market, our pads are engineered for reliability and consistency. When you reorder, you should be able to install the pad and start printing immediately. Each pad undergoes thorough quality screening for durometer (hardness), flawless print surface, and dimensional consistency.

Storage and Maintenance of Pads

Please clean only with adhesive tapes. However, in the case of very dirty pads, we recommend using Isopropyl Alcohol (IPA), as it dries quickly, applied with a cotton wad moving in one direction only. These pads should be stored in dry and cool places

While primarily silicone, variations exist for specific applications, such as antistatic pads for static-prone materials or long-life pads for high-volume production.
Proper maintenance and storage extend pad lifespan and ensure print quality: Cleaning: Clean pads with mild tape or a lint-free cloth after use. Avoid harsh solvents, which can damage the silicone. Storage: Store pads in a clean, cool, and dry place, ideally in sealed containers or bags to prevent dust accumulation. Keep them away from direct sunlight, extreme temperatures, and sharp objects. Rotation: Rotate pads to ensure even wear, especially in multi-shift operations.
